Preferences: General tab

 

This tab lets you configure several general features. The options available are the following:

Self-diagnosis

If the Enable self-diagnosis checkbox is selected, will check that the level of protection is in accordance with the settings established.

 

If you want to define the characteristics of the self-diagnosis, click Settings. A window appears with the following options:

The periodic self-diagnosis warnings will only be displayed when there is imminent risk of infection and the protection level of your PC requires attention.

CPU load control

If you select Enable CPU load management, full scans will be interrupted when the CPU load exceeds 90%, in order not to interrupt other tasks.

Scanning removable drives on startup (USB drives, etc.)

If you select Scan boot sector of removable drives on startup, the program will scan the boot sector of removable drives when the computer starts up or shuts down.

 

Several buttons appear at the bottom of this tab. By clicking OK, you will save the changes to the settings. By clicking Restore , the default settings will be restored. By clicking Cancel, the changes to the configuration will not be applied.

Sending information

If you agreed to this during the installation process, will send information about the malware detected on you computer.

The information will be sent completely anonymously in order to update the information about the impact of different viruses in the different parts of the world.

If you don't want to send this data, clear the Allow information to be sent checkbox.
